The Rocky Horror Picture Show opens with two clean-cut kids, Brad Majors and his fiance, Janet Weiss, on their way to visit their old high-school science teacher. After experiencing car trouble and becoming stranded, they seek help at a nearby castle. Unbeknownst to them, the castle is the headquarters of Dr. Frank-N-Furter who is in the midst of one of his many maniacal experiments - creating the perfect man christened Rocky Horror. In addition to Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Rocky, the castle is presided over by a hunchback henchman named Riff Raff, his sister Magenta, and assisted by a tap dancing groupie, Columbia.
Agape in this disparate world of science fiction and fantasy, Brad and Janet don't know what to expect. Suddenly, a saxophone playing oaf named Eddie, the disastrous result of another of Dr. Frank-N-Furter's experiments, plows through the laboratory wall. Frank-N-Furter quickly dispatches this unwelcome musical interruption. The old professor that Brad and Janet had originally set out to visit, Dr. Scott, turns up at the castle in search of his missing nephew. Dr. Scott knows that Frank-N-Furter is a spy from another galaxy and sets out to turn him in. Meanwhile, Frank seduces Janet, then Brad.
Before Dr. Scott can bring justice and morality to this Transylvanian orgy, Frank-N-Furter turns his captives to stone, in preparation for new "experiment" -- an all drag revue featuring all of his captives. When the revue finishes, Riff Raff and Magenta appear and declare that it is time to return to their home galaxy. Riff Raff declares that he is now in control. When Frank-N-Furter's attempts to dissuade Riff Raff and Magenta of their plan to return home fail, Frank-N-Furter tries to escape, and is gunned down by Riff Raff's ray-gun. The castle blasts off in to space.
Brad, Janet and Dr. Scott are left behind as Riff and Magenta take off. They are incapable of re-adjusting, now that they've tasted the forbidden fruits of the Time Warp.
